SMS Messaging

How to opt in, what you will receive, and how to stop at any time.

Common Garden artists can send SMS (text message) updates to people who have explicitly opted in to hear from them. This page explains how to opt in, what messages you will receive, what it costs, and how to stop at any time.

Each Common Garden artist runs a separate SMS audience. Opting in to one artist does not opt you in to any other artist on the platform.

How to opt in

There are two ways to opt in to an artist's SMS messages on Common Garden:

1. On the web

Visit any Common Garden artist's portal page (for example, cmngrdn.com/feather/portal/becoming). Enter your mobile phone number in the signup form and check the dedicated SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox is unchecked by default and is not required to submit the form. The exact consent language you will see is:

“I agree to receive recurring text messages from this artist at the phone number provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms. Mobile opt-in consent and phone numbers are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.”

2. By text message (keyword opt-in)

Text the keyword CONNECTto an artist's dedicated number. You will receive a single confirmation reply that identifies the artist, tells you message frequency varies, reminds you that message and data rates may apply, and provides HELP and STOP instructions. The confirmation reads (with the artist's name substituted in):

“You're connected to [Artist]! You'll receive updates from this artist. For help, reply HELP. To opt out, reply STOP. Msg & data rates may apply.”

Artist numbers

The artists listed below currently accept keyword opt-in by text. To opt in, text CONNECT to the number shown.

Feather — Text CONNECT to (615) 894-0402.
Saddlies — Text CONNECT to (629) 240-3215.

What you will receive

After opting in, you may receive two kinds of messages from the artist:

Marketing messages — new release announcements, community updates, event invitations, and other promotional content.
Transactional messages — booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and reschedule or cancellation notifications tied to a specific request you initiated.

Sample marketing message: “New music for Feather incoming. Stay tuned for the drop. Msg frequency will vary. Msg&Data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”

Sample transactional message: “Thanks for booking your session with Feather! We will see you soon. Msg frequency will vary. Msg&Data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies.It depends on the artist's activity and on your own interactions with the platform (for example, whether you have a booking pending).

Message and data rates may apply. Common Garden does not charge you to receive SMS messages, but your wireless carrier may charge you for each message sent or received according to your plan. Please consult your carrier for details.

Help and opt-out

Reply HELP to any message to get information about the program and how to reach us.
Reply STOP(or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, OPTOUT, or STOPALL) to any message to immediately stop receiving further SMS messages from that artist. You will receive a single confirmation reply acknowledging your opt-out, after which no further SMS messages will be sent from that artist's number.
Opting out of one artist does not opt you out of any other artist on the platform. Each artist maintains its own separate audience and must be opted out separately.
To opt out of all SMS messages from Common Garden entirely, email us at contact@cmngrdn.com with the subject line “SMS Opt-Out — All Artists”.
To re-subscribe after opting out, reply START to the artist's number, or opt in again through the web or keyword methods described above.

Your privacy

Mobile opt-in consent and mobile phone numbers are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances. Mobile information is disclosed only to the artist you opted in to, to our SMS service provider (Twilio, Inc.) for the sole purpose of delivering messages, to wireless carriers for routing, and as otherwise required by law. Eligibility

SMS messaging is available only to individuals in the United States who are at least 13 years of age. You represent that you are the subscriber of the mobile phone number you provide, or that you are authorized by the subscriber to opt that number in to receive messages.
